VIDEO TRAINING PROGRAM FOR
WOOD-WORKING MACHINISTS
(Each of 6 individual modules can be purchased for $ 150.00) One of the furniture industry's most serious problems has been the lack of effective training programs for woodworking machine operators. This problem can be overcome with this inovative series of video training programs, developed by the Ontario Furniture Manufacturers Association. Each program includes a professionally-produced, color & sound videotape cassette on the operation of six commonly used woodworking machines.

A typical program progresses in modules that include: - Review of the machine's basic operations
- Familiarization with each part of the machine and its particular function or use
- Review of the machine's capabilities, uses and limitations
- Safety precautions for operator and safety start-up
- Machine protection and set-up procedures
- Review of operating procedures and the skills required to achive proficiency
Safety Productivity CraftsmanshipQuality & Quality Control Morale Waste Control Scheduling Maintenance The Video Training Programs include and are coordinated with a printed easy-to-use Instructor's Manual (including "answer key") and workbook-style Trainee Study Guide. At the end of each module, the trainees complete a review exercise in the Study Guide to establish their levels of comprehension for the pahse. This also alows time for Q & A and discussion. With this special modular approach, the instructor and trainees can progress at their own pace. Any part of the program can be replayed as often as desired.
